The Recycling Helpline is a PUBLIC, FREE, and NATIONAL service created to provide effective answers to citizens, specifically to respond to questions, information requests, suggestions, complaints, compliments, and service requests related to the collection and treatment of urban waste.

Ansião Transfer Station – temporary change to the municipal waste collection service
ERSUC hereby wishes to inform you of a temporary change to the municipal waste collection service at the Ansião Transfer Station between 3 August and 31 August 2026, from Monday to Friday. During this period, the Ansião Transfer Station will close at 6.00 pm due to the internal reorganisation of services. The station is expected to operate as normal on Saturdays. After 6.00 pm, waste from the municipality should be delivered to the Integrated Centre for the Recovery of Municipal Solid Waste (CITVRSU) in Coimbra, during the hours previously observed at the Transfer Station. The station will return to its usual opening hours from 1 September 2026.

ERSUC supports institutions with 420,000 euros as part of the Tons of Help campaign
On World Recycling Day, celebrated on May 17th, we remember that every gesture counts and every choice matters. Therefore, we highlight the Tons of Help campaign, a solidarity initiative that combines recycling with social responsibility, through which it was possible to allocate nearly €420,000 to social solidarity institutions last year, in the form of financial compensation for recyclable material delivered to ERSUC facilities. These amounts positively impacted approximately 15,000 people through the support provided by the 12 institutions that participated in the campaign. The EGF Tons of Help campaign is aimed at social and non-profit institutions in Portugal and is available in the ERSUC intervention area, regionally, and in approximately 60% of the national territory, through the 11 concessionary companies of the EGF group. 1290 tons of waste sent for recycling Throughout 2025, the institutions that participated in this campaign sent more than 1290 tons of recyclables for recycling: 971 tons of paper/cardboard, 274 tons of plastic/metal and 45 tons of glass. Each entity receives a monetary compensation, depending on the quantity and flow of material delivered to Ersuc's facilities.

ERSUC HIGHLIGHTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITS SERVICES AND INVESTMENT IN OPERATIONS
On March 26th, ERSUC held its annual General Assembly, where the main activity indicators, management report, balance sheet and accounts for the 2025 fiscal year, as well as perspectives for the year 2026, were presented. The figures presented by the ERSUC Board of Directors to all shareholders, also evidenced in the 2025 Report & Accounts, demonstrate the positive evolution of the service, with a 5% increase in Selective Collection compared to 2024. Since 2015, the Trifuxo Selective Collection (yellow, green and blue recycling points) has made significant progress: plastic/metal +76%, glass +41% and paper/cardboard +108%.
