The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) takes place from November 22nd to 30th and, this year, focuses on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), under the motto "Turn on the value. Turn off the waste". The objective is to draw attention to the accelerated growth of electronic waste in the European Union, raising awareness among citizens, companies and organizations for more sustainable consumption and management practices for this equipment.

ERSUC informs that there will be a temporary change in the urban waste reception service at the Gois Transfer Station, from 25 August to 19 September 2025, Monday to Friday, when it will close at 4 pm, due to a change in workers' hours. The Station should maintain normal operation on Saturdays.

As part of the 3rd edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit, the Business Merit Recognition Gala took place yesterday, July 2nd, at the São Francisco Convent, where ERSUC was awarded the 2025 Business Merit Award. ERSUC was present at the ceremony, represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Miguel Lisboa, and the Administrator, Eng. Bruno Tomé. Eng. Miguel Lisboa received the award from the Mayor of Coimbra, Dr. José Manuel Silva, in a symbolic moment that reflects the collective effort and daily commitment of ERSUC to providing a quality service.

Closer to the Citizen to Better Raise Awareness and Education EGF has launched the Recycling Line app, a free, nationwide, and public service that supports citizens on issues related to the collection and treatment of urban waste. Aligned with customer behavior trends, the Recycling Line app aims to facilitate and encourage recycling through a practical, accessible, and intuitive tool that allows users to ask questions and contribute to the adoption of more conscious behaviors and good environmental practices in their daily lives.

ERSUC hereby informs of the interruption of the service for receiving unsorted urban waste at the Sever do Vouga Transfer Station between 9:00 AM on May 12th and 9:00 AM on May 19th, 2025, due to corrective maintenance of the compactor. During this period, the delivery of unsorted municipal waste should be made to the Integrated Center for the Valorization of Urban Solid Waste (CITVRSU) in Araraquara, within the hours already in place at the Transfer Station. The station is expected to resume normal operation from 9:00 AM on May 19, 2025.
